The heartbeat of the Ronald McDonald House is the families we serve. Their journeys and experiences, highs and lows, setbacks and celebrations, and tears and laughter fill every room. During a time of incredible uncertainty for families with sick children, in a world where even greater uncertainty exists for vulnerable populations, the House provides hope. With courage and strength, our Bay Area community comes together to stay by families’ side throughout their medical journey.
We remain grateful to you for your steadfast support. Just as Ronald McDonald House programs and services empower families, your investment of time and money empower us to take the right next steps to achieve our vision to help every family who faces barriers to medical care for their sick child.
With Gratitude,

Laura Keegan Boudreau

Ronald McDonald House Bay Area
When a child is seriously ill, the whole family needs care. Our new report shares what hospital teams told us families need most, and how Ronald McDonald House Bay Area is growing to be by their side through the full medical journey.
Since 1979, Ronald McDonald House Bay Area has been partnering with our region’s children’s healthcare providers to provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare. Over the years — and only because of the generosity of donors who have supported our cause — we have evolved. We continue to develop programs to meet families’ needs as they face the medical uncertainty and financial stress of caring for their children.
Today, Ronald McDonald House Bay Area serves critically ill children through a network of Ronald McDonald House programs that provide housing, meals and psychosocial support inside or nearby Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals in San Francisco and Oakland. Additionally, in partnership with La Clinica de la Raza, our Chapter operates a Ronald McDonald Care Mobile that offers free oral health care services to vulnerable children in Contra Costa County.
