Ronald McDonald House Bay Area eases the financial and emotional burdens families face while accessing critical care for their children. Through a range of programs operating inside and nearby our partner hospitals, we provide the housing, meals, and wraparound support families need to stay close to their child and to each other, throughout their entire journey.
Our Ronald McDonald House at Stanford is one of the world’s largest pediatric housing facilities, offering 123 rooms, daily meals, bilingual 24/7 family services, and onsite K–12 school. In 2023, we opened the very first Ronald McDonald House in Oakland with now a 21-bedroom House—just steps from UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland—offering the same comprehensive care and support.
With the help of generous donors and volunteers, Ronald McDonald House Bay Area brings comfort directly to families inside our partner hospitals. We offer family-centered support through hot meals via our Feed the Love program, on-the-go refreshments and care items delivered by our Hospitality Cart, and a dedicated Family Room at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital at Mission Bay where families can rest and access resources, all steps away from their child.
Ronald McDonald House Bay Area operates inside and nearby our partner hospitals to offer wraparound services for the whole family — including psychosocial support, child enrichment, family activities, and recreation — all designed to bring comfort and connection to families with children receiving care.
